Little Green

CHALLENGE

As a result of growing urbanization, city dwellers with limited living spaces and hectic urban lifestyle often lack the means to connect with nature. The design challenge aims to re-establish our interactions and close relationship with nature through the development of a sustainable design solution.

Approach

The user-centered design process includes research methods such as contextual interviews, user observations, and expert consultations. By identifying the end-users' needs and preferences, a detailed design brief is used to outline concept focus and criteria. To support the subject's emphasis on sustainability and consideration of nature,  all materials used are 100% bio-degradable.

Concept

A caring kit designed for those who seek re-connection with nature in their daily routines. The design concept aims to enhance mental well-being of urban demographics through a new way of interaction with greenery. Through the use of 100% bio-degradable materials and growing medium, little green hopes to facilitate a new understanding of the roles of nature in our lives, reflecting the idea of bearing a little dose of nature.
